Client safety, comfort and professional standards are central to the way Create Your Wellness works. This page explains important suitability, safety, consent and boundary requirements.
Not a Substitute for Medical Care
Our services are complementary, wellbeing-focused and supportive. They do not replace medical advice, diagnosis or treatment from your GP, consultant, pharmacist, mental health professional or other regulated healthcare provider.
Please seek medical advice for any concerning, persistent, unexplained, worsening or urgent symptoms. In an emergency, contact NHS 111, 999 or your usual medical provider as appropriate.
Results Disclaimer
Results vary from person to person. We do not guarantee specific outcomes, weight loss, pain reduction, skin improvement, hair reduction, health changes, aesthetic results, emotional outcomes or programme results.
Treatment plans, wellness advice and product recommendations are based on the information provided by the client and the practitioner’s professional judgement at the time.
Consultation Forms
You may be required to complete a consultation form before your appointment. Forms should be completed at least 24 hours before treatment where possible.
You may need to complete different forms for different treatments. You may also be asked to confirm at each visit whether anything has changed.
- Medical history, medication, allergies and contraindications.
- Pregnancy, trying to conceive or breastfeeding.
- Injuries, recent surgery or physical limitations.
- Skin conditions, infections, wounds or recent aesthetic treatments.
- Lifestyle, wellbeing goals and treatment expectations.
- Consent, aftercare and patch-test requirements.
Client Responsibility
It is your responsibility to provide accurate information and tell us about anything that may affect treatment suitability. This includes medical conditions, medication, allergies, pregnancy, breastfeeding, recent surgery, infections, injuries, recent treatments, heat sensitivity, fainting, anxiety, mobility needs or changes to your health.
Contraindications and Right to Refuse Treatment
We reserve the right to refuse, adapt, postpone or stop treatment if we believe it may be unsuitable, unsafe, inappropriate or outside our scope of practice. This includes where:
- A contraindication is present or suspected.
- Required consultation forms or patch tests have not been completed.
- The client has not disclosed relevant information.
- The client is intoxicated or appears unwell.
- The client behaves inappropriately or makes the practitioner feel unsafe.
- The requested treatment is outside the practitioner’s professional boundaries or insurance cover.
Patch Tests
Some treatments require a patch test before treatment can be carried out. Patch tests are usually required 24 to 48 hours before treatment, depending on the service.
Patch tests may still be required even if you have had the treatment elsewhere before, as products, devices, settings and protocols vary between clinics.
If a patch test is required and has not been completed within the correct timeframe, the treatment cannot go ahead and may be charged as a late cancellation.
Pregnancy, Trying to Conceive and Breastfeeding
Please tell us before booking if you are pregnant, trying to conceive, breastfeeding or think you may be pregnant. Some treatments can be adapted, but others may not be suitable.
Pregnancy treatments are usually available only after 13 weeks, unless otherwise agreed by the practitioner and subject to suitability.
Professional Boundaries
Create Your Wellness provides professional therapeutic, holistic, wellness, body, skin and aesthetic treatments only.
Any inappropriate behaviour, sexual comments, sexual requests, suggestive conduct, harassment, intimidation or breach of professional boundaries will result in the treatment ending immediately. Full payment will still be due, and future bookings may be refused.
Where necessary, inappropriate behaviour may be reported to the relevant authorities.
Male Practitioner Transparency
Most services are provided by a male practitioner. If practitioner gender is important to you, please check before booking or purchasing a voucher, package or membership.
Refusal of treatment due to practitioner gender after booking or purchase does not automatically entitle the client to a refund and may be treated as a late cancellation.
Draping and Client Comfort
For massage and body treatments, you will have privacy to undress and dress. You will be appropriately draped throughout the treatment, and only the area being worked on will be uncovered.
Please tell your practitioner at any time if you feel uncomfortable, too hot, too cold, would like pressure adjusted, need a break, or want the treatment to stop.
Photos, Videos and Before/After Images
We may request photographs for treatment records, progress tracking, skin analysis, posture review or aesthetic treatment planning. These images are used for treatment and record-keeping purposes unless separate written consent is given for marketing use.
We will not use identifiable photos, videos or before/after images on our website, social media, advertising or marketing without separate consent. You may refuse marketing use without affecting your treatment.
Children, Guests and Companions
Please attend your appointment alone unless another person is also booked for treatment, you require assistance, or this has been agreed in advance.
For safety, insurance and treatment-room reasons, children cannot be left unattended in the clinic and should not be brought to appointments unless agreed in advance. If a treatment cannot proceed because a client arrives with children, the appointment may be treated as a late cancellation.
Accessibility and Mobility
Please tell us before booking if you have mobility needs, require assistance, or may find stairs, treatment couches, floatation, heat treatments, changing facilities or getting in and out of equipment difficult. We will advise whether the treatment and facilities are suitable.
Infection, Illness and Hygiene
Please do not attend if you have an infectious illness, fever, contagious skin condition, sickness bug, unexplained rash, open wounds in the treatment area, or symptoms that may make treatment unsafe. Contact us as early as possible so we can advise.
Mobile Phones and Clinic Etiquette
Please place your phone on silent when you arrive. To protect the calm atmosphere of the clinic, please avoid taking calls, playing videos or using loud audio in reception, treatment rooms or relaxation areas.
