Float Into Deep Rest. Emerge Transformed.
Where silence becomes your sanctuary, stillness becomes your strength, and every float brings you home to yourself.
In a world that never stops asking something of you, floatation therapy offers something radical — nothing. No notifications. No noise. No gravity. Just you, suspended in warm, mineral-rich water, free from the demands of the outside world.
Floatation therapy — also known as sensory deprivation, REST therapy (Restricted Environmental Stimulation Therapy), or float therapy — takes place in a specially designed float pod or room filled with warm water and Epsom salt (magnesium sulphate). With approximately 500–550 kg of pharmaceutical-grade Epsom salt dissolved in the water, you float effortlessly — no swimming required, no effort needed.
The water is heated to skin temperature (34.5°C), making the boundary between your body and the water virtually imperceptible. Inside your float suite, external light and sound are completely eliminated. With no sensory input competing for your brain's attention, your nervous system is free to shift from a state of constant alertness into one of profound, restorative rest.
Pharmaceutical-grade magnesium sulphate creates a solution so dense that your body floats with the same natural buoyancy as the Dead Sea — with zero effort.
Heated precisely to the temperature of your skin, the boundary between your body and the water becomes virtually imperceptible within the first few minutes.
Darkness eliminates visual processing. Silence eliminates auditory processing. Skin-temperature water minimises tactile sensation. For perhaps the first time ever — your brain has nothing to process.
When you float, your brain enters theta brainwave states — the deeply creative, meditative state normally only achieved during advanced meditation or in the liminal moments between waking and sleep. In a float pod, theta brainwaves emerge naturally within 20–30 minutes for most people. This is why floatation therapy is often described, by people who have never meditated in their lives, as the deepest relaxation they have ever experienced.
Floatation therapy simultaneously activates the parasympathetic nervous system — your body's "rest and digest" response — with a speed and depth that few other interventions can match. Cortisol levels drop measurably. Blood pressure decreases. Muscle tension releases. Heart rate slows. Research conducted at the Laureate Institute for Brain Research (Feinstein et al.) has demonstrated significant reductions in anxiety, stress, and symptoms of PTSD and depression.
Body, mind, and spirit — discover what a single session can do across all dimensions of your wellbeing.
The near-zero gravity environment removes all pressure from your joints, muscles, and spine. Chronic pain sufferers — including those with fibromyalgia, arthritis, back pain, and sports injuries — find profound relief as the body finally releases held tension.
Elite athletes worldwide use floatation as a performance tool. Reduced lactic acid build-up, accelerated muscle repair, and enhanced proprioceptive awareness make floating an essential recovery method for serious and recreational athletes alike.
The Epsom salt solution is rich in magnesium — a mineral the majority of us are deficient in. Transdermal absorption during your float helps regulate sleep, reduce inflammation, support muscle function, and improve mood.
Many guests report significantly improved sleep following floatation sessions, thanks to the deep parasympathetic nervous system reset that floating induces — with a "ripple effect" of improved sleep quality in the nights that follow.
The deep relaxation response produced by floating has measurable cardiovascular benefits: reduced blood pressure, improved heart rate regulation, and improved circulation.
The Epsom salt solution is deeply mineralising for the skin. Many guests emerge with noticeably softer, smoother skin — a beautiful bonus of your wellness journey.
Floating activates your body's "rest and digest" response — dramatically lowering cortisol levels and allowing genuine, chemical-level stress relief. A landmark 2018 study (Feinstein et al.) found that a single 60-minute float produced significant reductions in anxiety, with effects persisting beyond the session.
With no external stimulation, your brain enters theta brainwave states — the deeply creative, meditative state typically only achieved in advanced meditation. Ideas flow. Clarity arrives. Solutions appear.
For those navigating burnout, floatation provides something ordinary rest struggles to deliver: a genuine, complete neurological reset. Sleep, particularly the disrupted sleep of burnout, doesn't always restore. Floatation bypasses the surface and goes straight to the source.
Emerging research suggests floatation therapy may be beneficial for depression. The theta state, combined with cortisol reduction and magnesium absorption (magnesium is integral to serotonin synthesis), creates neurological conditions associated with improved mood and emotional regulation.
Whether you're an experienced meditator or a complete beginner, the float environment dramatically deepens meditative states — making profound mindfulness accessible to everyone, without years of practice.
Some of the most exciting research in floatation therapy concerns its potential for post-traumatic stress disorder. Justin Feinstein's work has documented significant anxiety and PTSD symptom reduction, opening up the possibility of floating as a complement to trauma therapy.
In the silence, you meet yourself. Freed from distraction, many floaters experience moments of profound self-awareness, emotional release, and personal insight that are difficult to access in daily life.
Writers, artists, musicians, entrepreneurs, and thinkers use floatation as a tool for accessing deep creative flow. The theta state unlocks intuitive, associative thinking that analytical waking consciousness often suppresses.
The theta state experienced in deep floatation is neurologically identical to states described in meditative traditions as "no-mind," "pure awareness," or "flow." Many floaters describe experiences of expanded awareness, inner spaciousness, and profound stillness.
There is no experience necessary and nothing to prepare. All towels, robes, earplugs, and toiletries are provided. Here's how your float session unfolds.
You'll be warmly welcomed to your own private float suite. We'll guide you through everything you need to know. We recommend eating lightly beforehand and avoiding caffeine for a few hours prior. Everything you need — towels, robe, earplugs, toiletries — is provided.
You'll shower before entering. The water is perfectly body-temperature, and you'll find yourself floating effortlessly from the moment you step in. You choose complete darkness and silence, or soft music or ambient light — entirely your choice. The first 15–20 minutes are often the most mentally active. By 20–30 minutes, most people notice a significant shift.
You'll shower, dress, and be invited to rest in our serene relaxation lounge with herbal tea. This integration time is important — your nervous system is in a beautifully receptive state. Many guests describe the post-float "glow" as one of floatation therapy's most cherished gifts: the world feels quieter, softer, more spacious.
Like any meaningful wellness practice — yoga, meditation, massage — the benefits of floatation deepen with regular use. Here's what to expect as you continue.
Your first session is about exploration. Many people find their minds quite active initially — that's completely normal. The body and brain are learning to let go. Expect to feel deeply relaxed, even if your mind takes a little time to settle. We recommend 90 minutes for your first float.
By your third session, most guests experience the profound shift that makes floatation therapy life-changing. The body remembers how to let go, the mind trusts the environment, and the full depth of the experience becomes available.
Monthly floats maintain baseline stress levels and sleep quality. Weekly floats can be genuinely transformative for mental health, creativity, and performance. Think of it not as an occasional treat, but as a consistent investment.
Floatation therapy is suitable for almost everyone and requires no previous experience. It is non-invasive, drug-free, and entirely in your control — you can open the pod or exit at any moment.
Particularly beneficial for those experiencing
Age
We welcome guests aged 16 and over. Under-18s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian on their first visit.
At Create Your Wellness, the cleanliness and safety of our float suites is our highest operational priority. The extreme salinity of the Epsom salt solution creates an inherently inhospitable environment for bacteria and pathogens. In addition, our water undergoes a rigorous multi-stage filtration and sanitation process between every single guest.
Whether you're exploring for the first time or making floatation a core part of your wellness practice, we have a package that works for you.
Perfect introduction. Ideal for exploring the experience for the first time.
Recommended for your first float — the extra time allows a much fuller experience.
Perfect for discovering the full depth of floatation therapy. The point where most guests experience the transformative shift.
One 30-minute float per month plus member benefits. The most affordable way to make floating a consistent practice.
Floatation therapy is deeply powerful alone — and even more transformative when combined with our complementary wellness services.
You are always in complete control. You can leave the door or lid open. You can have ambient light on. You can exit at any moment. Many people who self-identify as claustrophobic find that the float environment, because it is entirely controlled by them, feels the opposite of threatening. Many find it one of the most liberating experiences of their lives.
You won't sink — the Epsom salt will keep you afloat no matter what. Many guests do drift into a beautiful, borderline-sleep state, and this is perfectly safe and deeply restorative. It's one of the most cherished aspects of floatation therapy.
Not at all. The water is only 25–30 cm deep, and the Epsom salt does all the work. You simply lie back and float. No swimming ability or technique is required whatsoever.
Most guests float without a swimsuit, as clothing can be distracting and reduce the body-to-water boundary that makes the experience so effective. However, you are welcome to wear a swimsuit if you prefer — whatever makes you feel most comfortable. Your float suite is entirely private.
The density of salt in the water creates an environment that is inherently hostile to bacterial growth — similar to the Dead Sea. In addition, the water undergoes rigorous multi-stage filtration and sanitation between every single guest: UV sterilisation, hydrogen peroxide treatment, and fine particulate filtration. Our filtration systems are regularly tested and maintained.
We recommend waiting at least one week after chemical treatments. We provide hair conditioning treatments to help protect your hair, and the Epsom salt solution is generally kind to hair. However, very recently bleached or chemically treated hair may be affected.
Discomfort during a float is almost always a sign of transition rather than a problem. The mind resists stillness at first, because stillness is unfamiliar. Most people move through initial restlessness into states of deep rest within the first 20 minutes. Bring curiosity, not expectation — that is the single most useful thing we can tell you about your first float.
Floatation therapy can be wonderfully supportive during pregnancy, particularly in the second and third trimesters — when the relief from gravitational pressure can be deeply comforting. However, we always recommend consulting your GP or midwife before floating during pregnancy.
