This page applies to floatation, infrared sauna, plunge pool, steam, contrast therapy and related wellness facilities, where available. These services can be deeply restorative, but they must be used safely and appropriately.
General Suitability
Please contact us before booking if you have any medical condition, are pregnant, are trying to conceive, are breastfeeding, have cardiovascular issues, high or low blood pressure, fainting episodes, epilepsy, diabetes, kidney disease, heat sensitivity, recent surgery, open wounds, infection, mobility limitations, or are unsure whether the service is suitable.
We may refuse or adapt a booking if we believe the service is unsuitable or unsafe.
Floatation Safety
Please shower before entering the float room or float tank. Do not use floatation if you have open wounds, infectious skin conditions, sickness, diarrhoea, fever, heavy hair dye residue, fake tan, fresh tattoos, uncontrolled epilepsy, or any condition that makes floating unsafe.
- Avoid shaving immediately before floating, as the salt water may sting.
- Do not enter the float room under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs.
- Please use the facilities respectfully and follow all instructions given by staff.
- If you contaminate the float water through bodily fluids, oils, fake tan, hair dye, illness or failure to follow instructions, cleaning, filtration, downtime or replacement costs may be charged.
- If you feel unwell, anxious, dizzy or uncomfortable, leave the float room and contact staff immediately.
Infrared Sauna Safety
Infrared sauna is not suitable for everyone. Please seek medical advice before using the sauna if you have heart disease, unstable blood pressure, fainting, heat intolerance, fever, active infection, pregnancy, implanted medical devices, serious medical conditions, or are taking medication that affects heat tolerance, hydration or blood pressure.
- Hydrate before and after your session.
- Do not use the sauna if you are intoxicated, dehydrated, unwell or have recently eaten a heavy meal.
- Stop immediately if you feel dizzy, faint, nauseous, short of breath, confused, unusually weak or unwell.
- Do not exceed the advised session time.
- Remove jewellery or items that may become hot or uncomfortable.
Plunge Pool, Steam and Contrast Therapy
Cold plunge, steam and contrast therapy may place stress on the cardiovascular system and may not be suitable for everyone.
Please seek medical advice before using contrast therapy if you have heart disease, high or low blood pressure, circulation disorders, Raynaud’s, fainting, pregnancy, neurological conditions, uncontrolled asthma, recent surgery, or any condition that may be affected by hot or cold exposure.
- Use only for the advised time and follow practitioner guidance.
- Enter and exit carefully, as floors may be wet.
- Stop immediately if you feel dizzy, faint, chest pain, breathlessness, numbness, confusion, panic or unusual discomfort.
- Never use heat or cold facilities while intoxicated or unwell.
- Do not push through symptoms. Your body gets the final vote.
